A series for some of my favorite up-and-rising young artists. Most of them aren’t big enough to have fancy photo shoots, but they’re cute. I don’t know a lot of them, so feel free to leave a comment if you want some featured.
Hou Minghao 侯明昊 (born 1997) debuted as a member of the Fresh Geek boyband. He’s most wellknown for his leading role in Cambrian Period 寒武纪. You may have also seen him as a young Wang Kai in The Devotion of Suspect X.

I look forward to seeing the other artists who will appear. I have a soft spot for HMH too, but not a FAN yet. Haven’t gotten far watching Cambrian Period. Plot seems messy, maybe even too corny.
I don’t look up actors’ ages. Actors around this age group I like are Liu Haoran; An Yuexi & Yang Zi in bubbly roles; Bai Jingting; Zhou Dongyu, Han Dongjun, Sun Yi, Dong Zijian. Li Landi. Jiang yiyi. Still need see more of them in various roles to decide how much I’ll like them. Bai Jingting in the C-film, Whose Youth Was Not … (How do you translate “Mang” in this context?) was pretty charming. But BJT’s character in Tornado Girl was rather dull. Guan Xiao Tong is ok, but I cannot watch her acting in Novoland etc. She’s better with rebellious roles, but those are not my cup of tea.
Agree with Julie! I’m very excited about this feature :) I haven’t yet listened to much of his music but I did follow him in the reality show 放开我北鼻 Let Go of My Baby some time ago. He’s very kind <3
Awesome concept! I can’t wait to see future posts. Also, is Minghao a common name? Think there’s two Chinese members in kpop named that lol.
