Yao Di does not look like she’s in her teens – hopefully her acting makes up for it.
Here’s our first official look at the main cast of The Entangled Life of Qingluo 蔓蔓青萝, an upcoming historical romance drama starring Yao Di and Qiao Zhenyu.
Li Qingluo (Yao Di) is the talented yet underappreciated daughter of the kingdom’s Chancellor. Her adventures begin after she meets Liu Fei / Chen Zili (Qiao Zhenyu), Liu Yu (Zhu Jiaqi), Liu Jian (Sun Jialing), Gu Tianxiang (Xiao Yanbo) and Cheng Siyue (Zhu Zanjin). They are known as the Five Sirs of Fengcheng, the most eligible bachelors in the city who also happen to be highly skilled in academics and the arts.
Zheng Yawen stars as Wang Yanhui, the calculating and ambitious daughter of an official, while Tang Ning plays Gu Tianlin, a kind and elegant noble lady who later becomes Liu Fei’s Empress. Wei Yi and Wang Yining play Qingluo’s older sisters Li Qinglei and Li Qingfei respectively.
The Entangled Life of Qingluo is led by director Gao Yijun (The Empress of China) and a team of new scriptwriters whose only credits include The White Haired Witch of Lunar Kingdom and Ultimate Teacher.
