chinese is not my language . i only get to see tv shows which make to US and are with subtitles. so my knowledge is very limited. still it amuses me to see the mauling of titles when comes to naming them in english .
in this particular case the book has a lovely name translated as “way of choices” ( Zé Tiān Jì – 择天记 ). title reflects the heart of the novel .

I think it’s mainly kind of a marketing thing since at least at this point it is rare for Chinese dramas to go mainstream in the West. Therefore, sometimes I feel titles are only there “for show.”
The costume designers are taking liberties again. Never seen a such a weird collar as shown in the last picture.
