Despite the fantasy elements, I’m just glad the costuming for Chinese dramas are getting more and more similar to clothing that people may have actually worn during that era as opposed to “generic” hanfu.
Beauties in the Closet 柜中美人 has more stills. Starring Chen Yao, Hu Bingqing, Vic Chou, Han Dong, and Chen Ruoxuan, fans of the Chinese period fantasy genre can probably look forward to a flood of them in the near future.

I love the slightly messy braids. It gives a slightly more realistic look to a character – especially one who probably doesn’t have a maid fixing their hair and makeup!
