Definitely appreciating the creative use of color in this one. I guess it is to be expected if it has somebody involved from Flowers of War…
The Tenants Downstairs 樓下的房客, based on the novel by Giddens Ko (author of You Are the Apple of My Eye), has released an amazing promotional video and seems to have quite the team behind it. Names include Amazing Film Studio (behind You Are the Apple of My Eye, Tiny Times, Tiny Times 2, and Cafe. Waiting. Love), Adam Tsuei (behind all those names with Amazing Film Studios and involved with people like F4, Jolin Tsai, Jay Chou, and lots more big names), and William Kong (co-producer of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon… erm… not the new one… and Flowers of War as well as producer of Rise of the Legend).

Wow this is intriguing to say the least. Is there any way I can find out more about the novel or the general idea of the story?
From what I gathered via available youtube videos, that’s Simon Yam playing a perverted peeping tom landlord.
Unfortunately, the most I’ve been able to gather is from wikipedia… but this video was certainly exciting. :)

You can read the entire novel here, in Chinese though. It’s actually a short story, so probably only 30 minutes of reading time. It certainly has a edgar allan poe feel to it.
