The Monkey King 2, the sequel to The Monkey King, has released stills and is aiming for a February 8, 2016 release. Starring Aaron Kwok, Gong Li, Feng Shaofeng, Xiaoshenyang, and Him Law, it will be nice to see Gong Li playing the role of a demoness.

Why is the Monkey King always so scary looking nowadays? He’s suppose to be beautiful! (at least to me).
But that also poses the question of how do you make a monkey beautiful… and since the Monkey King is supposed to be male, I guess males can’t be “beautiful” so if you can’t go with “sexy” then kinda beast-like is somehow the next best option…?
