This looks like one giant mess of CGI after another … I would much rather just see William Chan and Zhao LIyin’s pretty faces without all the CGI.

I have that feeling too! Like, it seems that the CGI are making the story looks cheap. I hope it is just a feeling because I am really ready to love the show for the actors!
