Thank you for the Sinology Sunday series. I enjoy the posts. I wonder though about the long, pleated skirts. Did they already have technology to make crisply pleated clothing back then?
Not actually sure about this one… but since this group of hanfu makers seems to adhere pretty closely to history, I would have to guess yes…? I mean I think there are similar pleated skirts that come up in the Ming and Qing dynasties afterwards so possibly…
