The Legend of Miyue releases more stills

At this point, screw the historical accuracy/historical anachronisms debate and just enjoy the pretty…

More stills!  More stills for The Legend of Miyue have been released.  Be prepared for a sneak peak of the costuming for Sun Li, Liu Tao, Huang Xuan, Jiang Xin, Ma Su, Gao Yunxiang, Alex Fong, etc.  Also, here’s to hope of 2015 being a year where more period dramas get their release dates.

More stills below the cut.

I don’t want to hear any complaints about how heavy the armor is. Have you even seen what they are wearing in The Empress of China?!?

Who says practical jokes never happened back in the day.  Here, Huang Xuan is clearly debating whether or not to push Sun Li into that pond behind them.

Why do I keep reading this as the “ooh, you’re a pain in the @$$ face?”

So it’s agreed. The clothes you two are wearing look the same except the color schemes are reversed.

I have a dream about ridiculous amounts or pretty costumes…

… rock star costumes were not exactly what I had in mind…

Jiang Xin decides to win the emperor’s favor by modeling what looks like quju… only to be rebuffed by Sun Li’s more rock star-inspired outfits.

After all these years of trying to win your attention and now I find out all I had to do was wear something like THAT?!?

Considering how their relationship looks like servant and master, this clothing coordinated was clearly planned.

There are good servants and there are bad ones. This one just noticed a wardrobe malfunction behind Lan Xi.

There are also good and bad masters… and those who use the leftover scraps from one servant’s clothing to make everybody else’s clothing…

I beg your majesty for another tissue.  My allergies are killing me this time of year.

Sun Li challenges Gulinazha to a fur coat competition.

OMG… save me… the costume changes… I don’t think I can do it anymore…

  1. Forget about 2015 period drama releases, I’m still waiting for the 2014 ones to be aired aka. The Four.

  2. Oh gosh, I literally LAUGHED OUT LOUD at your captions! Too funny! “There are also good and bad masters… and those who use the leftover scraps from one servant’s clothing to make everybody else’s clothing…” Really? Hahahaha.

Sun Li looks so youthful in the first few photos!
