A set of stills was released for the adaptation of  My Sunshine 何以笙箫默 starring Tang Yan, Wallace Chung.  There’s also a segment released, but if you haven’t read the book (or if you’re like me and can’t remember anything about it) , it’s probably not super interesting.

Also, news came out that Yang Mi and Huang Xiaoming will star in a film version of the book (assuming they get the filming rights sorted out).  I’m not sure how I feel about either Huang Xiaoming or Wallace Chung pretending to be young.  Maybe the Huang Xiaoming/Yang Mi version can use newbies to play their younger selves?

Here’s the long trailer, mostly of them being emo:

  1. I’m also looking forward to this drama! I thought they ended up shooting the college scenes with different actors because of the age issue? But I agree, Wallace Chung looks incredibly young for his age.

    • They tried to because people complained Tang Yan and Wallace were too old, but then they stopped because then other people complained that they looked too different…

  2. I watched the first official teaser and thought it look great. Having read the novel myself, I hope the drama adaptation will be as good as the novel or at least, decent. I really like the cast. Can’t wait for this! Wallace Chung does not look old at all for his age and he looks good but I agree that it might be a stretch for him to play as a college student for his flashbacks, haha!
