Mondays are always hard…

In light of the recent tragedy in the Lushan and Baoxing counties of Sichuan province, I thought the cpop allstar version of “Promise” would be an appropriate way to start this week’s Music Monday.

New Releases

Jiang Chao release new song “Lost the Way“. I didn’t really follow him during superboys but he’s sound is not as bubblegum pop as then I expected.

“God of Guns and Glory” is the theme song to the online game “God of Gun”, the theme is sung by iPartment’s Lou Yi Xiao.

Anothe game theme song is “Xian Xia World Not to Miss” by Qi Wei for the online game “Xian Xia World”.

Hou Xian reappears with a new song “I Know You Miss Too“. If your a fan of this previous single “Baby Face” then you will also enjoy this song, it has the youthful feel as the previous single. While his new releases since signing with T.H. Entertainment are easy listens, but I feel these songs are much better suited for teenybopper groups *cough* HIT-5 *cough* then Hou Xian. I prefer this, this, or this Hou Xian.

Performances

Members from SJM, Top Combine, and MIC collaborate on Generation Show! SJM’s Zhou Mi, TC’s Xiao Wu, and MIC’s Xiao Xin performed Jay Chou’s Love Before the Century. What do you guys think? I like how well Zhou Mi and Xiao Xin’s style contrast but match each other at the same time.

Superboy Liu Xin and Little Huang Ying performed the romantic duet “Your Eyes” on CCTV’s Lets Music.

Something Special

If you’re feeling worried about the week ahead, Dingding and Xixi wants to remind you of something you already know – that you’re Beautiful.

This Cantonese song by Louis Cheung has such beautiful lyrics that plays on the Chinese words for fate, flowers, and the heart.

Kim Jeong Hoon (Goong) is no a mainland artist but this song has such lovely lyrics I wouldn’t just let it pass. “If Not You” is one of two Mandarin songs off of his new EP (there’s two Korean songs on the EP).
