Once a video game character, always a video game character. After Chinese Paladin 3, Hu Ge, Yuan Hong, Liu Shishi and Tang Yan meet again for another online game, this time as the spokespeople for the latest spinoff version of one of the biggest Chinese online games – Zhu Xian/Jade Dynasty. Separated from her two true loves, Yang Mi is instead the cover girl for a new online game called Tian Xia.

I think everyone’s been waiting for Shanghai Tangren (CP,CP3,Fairy in Wonderland, Young Warriors of the Yang Clan 2006, LoCH 2008) to make a drama out of the Zhu Xian series, especially because there is a popular novel based on the game. And since Tangren hasn’t done anything recently, as its big star Hu Ge was off doing The Myth by EGM, this could possibly be their next series. Or, maybe Huayi will take it up since Zhou Xun just sung the theme for Zhu Xian 2. I’m still waiting for that mermaid movie, Huayi.

  1. wow i loved it, i want to watch series movie, please. I would buy it, but one thing im not sure if this called cp3 but it isnt same cp3 movie now, is this new cp3 movie? if it is new movie then please make the drama for everyone, im sure i love it and watch it. thanks

    • I think you made a mistake because the title is “Chinese Paladin 3 cast does video game photoshoots” Some of the cast in Chinese Paladin 3 were in this commercial.

    It’s a commercial, not a drama…though it really should be.

    I have heard great things about the novel itself, and have always wanted to read it.

    I find it interesting how mainstream videogames are in Chinese entertainment. Rather than a deviation from the world of fangirls and fanboys, they seem to converge together.

    I personally loved the three shots of Liu Shishi at the end. Despite being snapshots, they manage to portray three vastly different personalities that are equally beautiful.

  9. Before I saw the pictures under the cut, I wasn’t planning to watch this because I’m not a fan of online rpg games turned into live-action drama.

    BUT,

    WHAT THE HECK….!
    the pictures are GORGEOUS. Hu Ge loooks hot and Tan Yang and Yang Mi look beautiful<333333333333
