Charming, young, handsome and definitely talented, “Tiger cub” Lu Hu announced on his blog last week that he’ll be joining the cast of Meteor Shower. A closer look at Lu Hu and a belated introduction of the full cast (for now) of Meteor Shower.

Lu Hu is what one might call the unlucky 13th. One of the most prolific, if not the best, songwriters in Super Boys(Wang Yuexin says Lu Hu has written “enough songs for four albums”), Lu Hu has released exactly two of his own songs. Sure, many of his songs has made it into other people’s albums and voices : Wei Chen’s “Lunatic’s wish” and “Little Happiness,” Huang Yali’s “Yellow Little Flower,” Zhang Jie’s “Disappear,” and many theme songs for events and variety shows, but it’s hard to not notice Lu Hu’s lack of his own works.

Lu Hu’s Hu is that of the tiger, and thus he is called “Huzi,” a “tiger cub.” The cute name is fitting for Lu Hu. Lu Hu is goofy, random, charismatic and probably the only Super Boy who dared to take on a gay role in Le Huo Nan Hai. For Lu Hu, music themes to be more about its making and not the glory. As the only Super Boy with a professional recording device at home, his home is a haven to young Super Boy composers like Wang Yuexin and Wei Chen. He writes left and right for other people, and helps to promote others quite frequently, as seen in his cell phone video parodies of “Infernal Affairs” and “Cotton Candy.”

If only he weren’t eliminated so early, I feel like he could’ve gained a wide fanbase. Neither Cfensi nor I knew much about him before this year, but once we began looking up more about him, it was pretty hard to not like him.
And now, here’s the cast of Meteor Shower. You have probably seen the majority of the cast, but here is the latest:
Zheng Shuang as Chu Yuyun. Zheng Shuang is a current student of the Beijing Film Academy, whose acceptance rate was less than 2 % last year.
Zhang Han as Murong Yunhai (male lead); Zhang Han is a graduate of the Central Drama Academy, whose acceptance rate is even lower.
“Ham” Yu Haoming as Duan Mulei (supporting actor) The Canton native, like Top Combine, is co-owned by EE Media and DoReMi. Nicknamed the rabbit for his buckteeth and the “nation’s DD(younger brother)” for his sweetness, Yu Haoming is one of the most polite and considerate celebrities around.

Ying Yezi as Zhao Meiran (in love with Duan Mulei). Yezi plays Xue Baoqin in the upcoming remake of the Romance of the Red Mansion
“Vision” Wei Chen as Ye Shuo (computer wiz)
His often-praised acting abilities has convinced EE Media to make him go into acting, but his dream is music. Quiet, but with a voice of power, Wei Chen says that in 2009, his biggest dream is to have his own album. According to Wang Yuexin, the Super paparazzi, Wei Chen has already composed many songs, most of them “zhong guo feng” styled.

The name currently sounds very…interesting right now. Guo Rongrong seems to be the name of either a martial arts master wannabe since it’s a combination of Guo Jing and Huang Rong, or it’s the name of someone who’s gay, or both. Hopefully, he’ll get to compose at least one of the insert songs, if not the theme song, for Meteor Shower.
