Jane Zhang unveils new songs at Beijing Concert


Accompanied by a group of all-American singers and two wigs, Jane Zhang, the dolphin princess of China and the mainland singer with the most Youtube views, held her first of a series of concerts in Beijing on the 6th. In addition to singing classics like Painted Heart, she also sang, for the first time, new songs from her upcoming album.

Like her previous previous albums, this one will feature both English and Chinese songs. She’s had a working relationship with Gavin Christopher and Craig Williams, who recommended her to sing last year for the World Peace One project. She was the only Asian to sing amongst stars like Mariah Carey, Madonna and U2.

Jane Zhang won third place in the 2005 Super Girls. She is currently signed on with Huayi Brothers. Since then, she gave herself a name through singing high-quality theme songs of almost everything, including the song for Banquet, written by the academy-award and grammy winning composer Tan Dun, for the Return of the Condor Heroes, for Painted Skin, for Zhang Yimou-directed Xihu Impressions, for the Olympics and for Chengdu. This year, she also sang a duet with the blind Italian singer Andrea Bocelli for the Olympics, One World One Dream.
